Bedtime Stories with Bensons for Beds

Last weekend we were invited along to the Bensons For Bed’s newly opened Wednesbury store.  To promote their opening, they were holding a Bedtime Stories session in the children’s area of the store.

Bensons for Beds, Britain’s favourite bed specialist, hosted this bedtime stories event for several reasons.  One, was to showcase their new fresh store and the second…well, this was to encourage children to switch off their screens and read before they go to bed, as well as explore their imaginations and create their own bedtime stories. As parents, we can all be guilty of letting our children have too much screen time.  Reading is so important for children, especially before bedtime as it allows them to switch off.   Something that B and W both do – they love to read books!

The event was open to parents and children in the area.  Nikky Smedley, best known for her role as LaLa in The Teletubbies, made a special appearance, telling magical stories to all the children – and she looked pretty impressive! With her gigantic storytelling skirt, she had all the children listening and participating in her story telling, while some of the children tested out the children’s beds – of course my three were all over this!

Nikki was super interactive.  She got the children helping her and collecting items as part of her stories.  We were all singing along at one point too!  Nikki’s storytelling skirt was the focal point for most of the children as it had little pockets that the children could explore and investigate as part of one of the stories.

After a lovely story telling session, each child got a gift bag full of goodies (sweets included which impressed W no end!) and us parents enjoyed a hot drink whilst perusing the beds!!  This event couldn’t have come at a better time as both B and W need new beds!  The store had such an array of designs and styles.  Some were bunk bed, some had pull out desks.  There was one cabin bed that even had a little den underneath it!  That was a huge hit with Baby K who kept disappearing off!

Thank you to Bensons for Beds for inviting us along to this lovely event.  All my children had a fantastic morning and it was so nice to meet the face behind LaLa!  We also got some inspiration for B’s and W’s new beds – watch this space!

With three beautiful kids, it can be hard to vacation if everyone doesn’t have enough space. A timeshare offers more space and private bedrooms, but can be very difficult to sell. Fortunately, you can get out of rci timeshare with the help of a timeshare cancellation company.
