Boohoo – Christmas party dress

Disclamer: I was gifted an item of my choice from Boohoo for the purpose of this blog post

This Christmas, I have teamed up with Boohoo to share with you my Christmas party dress!!  I have several family outings over the festive season and I do love to dress up just as much as dressing down!  I like to feel comfortable, confident and I always know I can find something I love on the boohoo website.  There is such a wide variety of clothing now on offer, and the Christmas party dress section is full of all different types of dresses – glittery, sequinned, maxi length, midi length, embellished, velvet – the list goes on!

I was literally spoilt for choice and after what seemed like hours I managed to narrow my search down to three.  But, what I eventually chose did win me over and as soon as it arrived, I knew I made the right choice!

I decided to go for the ‘little black dress’ as I thought this would be the most versatile and I could team with most shoes and accessories.  However, this isn’t any plain ‘LBD’.  This dress is covered in tassel detail both back and front and really is stunning.  It has that glamorous Great Gatsby feel to it, yet is still super stylish with its shorter length, making it feel like a true party dress.

The top/shoulder part of the dress is a mesh type of material so I would recommend to wear a strap-less bra so you cannot see the straps. From this section down, the dress follows with full tassel detail, which is sophisticated and makes this dress really feel like a Christmas party dress perfect for the festive season!

The dress is fastened by a gold zip down the back of the dress.  What I love and is also helpful is that the zip goes right down to the waist, meaning you can step into the dress if you wish.  This dress could be worn with either bare legs (if you can brave the cold) or black tights!

This dress feels expensive and it is quite heavy, showing the time and effort that has gone into making this piece.  I am really impressed, but if this isn’t your style, do go and check out Boohoo’s party dress section, it is literally full of all types of dresses or all different shapes and sizes.

Finally, with the cold weather in full swing, I also thought a black dress would be a perfect Christmas party dress for the winter months and I cannot wait to wear it out out!  This dress is also available in gold and is priced at £45 – however Boohoo are currently offering several offers at the moment on most of their dresses so do go check them out!!
