Booking a Cabana at Center Parcs

On our recent trip to Center Parcs, we decided to book a poolside Cabana.  We decided to book a Cabana within the Subtropical swimming paradise centre for several reasons – 1) because there was 14 of us and we wanted a guaranteed spaced.  And 2) because we fancied a treat!

Booking a Cabana at Center Parcs is by far, the best valued money we spent whilst there and we all felt it was worth the money for many reasons.   The Subtropical Swimming paradise can get very very busy.  And if you really want some privacy, and a guaranteed area to relax in, then this is exactly what a Center Parcs cabana offers you.  There are several cabanas to relax in at the Sherwood Forest swimming complex, and are offered in two sizes – family cabanas for 6 or 8 people.

Prior to our break away to Center Parcs, we decided to pre book our poolside cabana via the website.  You can do this by logging into your account, and searching through the activity section.  You then have an option to choose from a family cabana for 6 people or 8 people.  As there was a few of us, we opted for the bigger cabana.  We booked about 3 months in advance and there was limited availability, however we did manage to get the time we wanted, which was Saturday afternoon.  Hiring a Center Parcs cabana can be done in 3 hour slots (and more recently available,  2 hour slots too).  The time available for us was between 2pm and 5pm.  Although we booked a family cabana for 8, we wasn’t given the option of which cabana to choose from which perhaps is a downfall if you were after a particular one.  You are simply allocated one from the booking system, which you find out on arrival to the swimming centre.

The poolside cabanas are located to the left of the main pool, near Starbucks and the new pirates adventure park.  This was a perfect location for us, as we had small children who wanted to play within these areas.  Inside the cabana you receive:

What’s great about these poolside cabanas is that you are just off the main hustle and bustle, so really feel secluded and have that privacy you may desire.  The entrance to the cabana can be curtained off too for that extra bit of privacy.  2 of our party decided to not join us, but the cabana was perfect for the remainder of us.  We of course wasn’t all in there at the same time, but it comfortably fitted 5 adults and 7 children who were coming and going!

The timing was perfect, and perhaps you may spend less time in the subtropical swimming paradise if you didn’t have a cabana.  But this gave us the opportunity to relax and take in what was on offer, including the fab slides and river rapids (not for the faint hearted!)

Having the cabana also meant that we could comfortably get changed and into appropriate clothing before leaving the complex.  The changing rooms are very tight at Center Parcs Sherwood, so this was so much easier for us as a family of 5.

This really was suited for all of us, especially with the TV within the cabana if you have little ones that need a break from swimming 10 minutes.  Or perfect if you have a family member that would prefer not to swim, but still want to be apart of the experience.

Overall, I would 100% recommend this.  The larger cabana for 8 people is priced at £90 at peak time and we all felt, was worth every penny!  This price, of course does vary dependent on what time of the day you book, and I believe is cheaper if you book an evening slot.

Thanks for reading xxx
