Christmas is coming with MoonPig Virtual Event

Christmas is now only 7 weeks away can you believe!  Now that Halloween is over, I already feel in the festive spirit and may have watched the odd Christmas Movie (or two already!)  When Moonpig reached out to see if I wanted to attend their Festive Virtual Christmas Event I immediately jumped at the chance as let’s face it, anything for a celebration right?!

Who are Moonpig

Moonpig are an online card and gift company for customers to use for any celebration.  Not matter what time of the year it is or what kind of celebration, Moonpig can help you and stock cards for all occasion, personalised, non personalised, various shapes and sizes and you can even send direct to yourself to post direct to the person you wish to send your card and gifts too.  Over the years, Moonpig have extended their products to offer so much more than cards.  There is a huge array of  gifts, including beautiful flowers available to purchase and send to someone you love.

Moon Pig App

What’s even greater about Moonpig, is that they have an awesome app to make that tradition of sending Christmas cards that even more personal.  During our event, we got to learn so much about Moonpig and their app and and got to have some fun trying it out!  One of the things that stood out for me was the personalisation of your own written note that can be inserted into the card.   The process is super easy and is perfect if your kids wish to write a note or even draw a picture.  When using the app and choosing a card, you have an option to include a handwritten message.  Simply write your message on a piece of paper and then hover your phone over it.  By doing so will insert the exact handwritten message into the card – genius!  (Please note this is currently only available on iOS)

Making cards personal on the Moonpig app

There are over 10,000 cards to choose from on the Moonpig app and you can even add your own photos too, making sending a card so much more than a simply gesture – it can really mean something too.   If you’re a planner like me, there is even an option to choose, design and write your cards and then select a particular date for them to be sent.  For example, you can have then sent a week before Christmas despite you creating them weeks earlier.  The app is also the perfect reminder for certain birthdays and events, making it super handy if your forgetful with birthdays!Learning about the moonpig app at the festive moonpig virtual event

Moonpig Flowers and Floristry

After our virtual tour of the Moonpig App, we were then treated to a florist session ran by the lovely Roxanne from Moonpig.  Prior to our event, I was sent out a beautiful Christmas bouquet of flowers from Moonpig to get creative with.  And with the help from the florist, I was able to follow along and create a beautiful Christmas centre piece.  Surprisingly, I think i did a pretty good job and thoroughly enjoyed my first attempt at arranging flowers.  The flowers not only looked festive, they also smelt amazing too!  It really is genius that you can order both cards and flowers from Moonpig.

Cocktail with Mix and Twist

Finally, we were then treated to a cocktail masterclass with Conor from Mix and Twist.  With the ingredients sent prior to the virtual event, I was able to make three scrumptious and super tasty cocktails to enjoy on the evening and it was so much fun to do!  Doing it virtually was just as much fun as taking part in a bar in my opinion and it was lovely to also be in the comfort of my own home.  I had the pleasure of making:

Vodka Garden

45ml Belverdere Vodka

25 ml lime joice

1 inch cucumber slice

6-8 mint leaves

25 ml Elderflower soda

Using a muddle, crush the cucumber into the bottom of the glass (you may want to cut into cubes first).  Add vodka, chopped mint leaves, lime juice and fill with ice.  Simply top with the elderflower soda and a spring of mint – enjoy!

Kiwi Collins

45 ml Belverdere Vodka

Half peeled Kiwi

Lemon juice

25 ml Sugar syrup

Splash of soda

In a cocktail shaker, fill to the top with ice.  Then add the crushed kiwi, lemon juice, vodka and sugar syrup.   Shake then add it all into a glass including the ice.  Top with soda water and a sprig of mint.

Gingerbread Espresso Martini

45 ml of Belverdere vodka

15 ml gingerbread syrup

60ml espresso

In a cocktail shaker add lots of ice.  Then simply add all the ingredients together and shake!  Pour the liquid into a martini glass and enjoy!

I had so much fun making (and drinking!) these cocktails and the Belvedere Vodka simply topped it!  Moonpig offer this amazingly tasty vodka as part of their Christmas gift selection.

A huge thank you to Moonpig for inviting me along to their Festive Christmas Virtual Event – it has been really interesting to learn more about what Moonpig has to offer!

This sounds like a fun event! Happy you had fun and the app sounds easy to use. My Sister has been using Moonpig for cards and it’s great, my son had a great personalized one arrive for him
