For ages it seems the kids duvets just don’t seem to fit right. My daughters duvet is a nightmare and after a couple of nights sleep, she’ll have no duvet padding at the top – it will just be cover! Missy didn’t seem to mind, but I did and it was a nightmare making her bed every day with a duvet filling that just didn’t stay put. I was totally invested when The Fine Bedding Company got in touch to ask if we wanted to review their coverless duvets! Yes, my prayers were answered!
I’d never realised you could get coverless duvets so as soon as I checked out The Fine Bedding Company website, I was pleasantly surprised. It was also the solution I needed, especially for my daughters bed. Let’s face it, there’s not a better feeling that snuggling down under your duvet after a long day, especially when it comes to freshly washed sheets. But the question is – how often do you wash your families bed covers and who agrees with me when I say it’s such a chore?!
With the coverless duvet, I thought that this really was the key to fixing both problems; ensuring a simply made bed with no lumps, bumps and missing filling and an easy bed wash experience! Let’s see!
The Night Owl Range is the coverless duvet range and promises several things:
– Washable at 40 degrees
– Super soft cover
– Lightweight fibre material
– Quick dry in 90 minutes
– Hypoallergenic
The Night Owl range also comes in 3 sizes; single, double and king which is great if your looking to get the whole family bed covers! I also love the fact it comes in three warmth options and various colours to choose from.
As soon as we received our single duvet’s I was really impressed. These coverless duvet’s come complete with their very own dust bags which I think is a wonderful addition. Each duvet is also super lightweight and so soft to touch! I also love the gentle pattern on the covers, almost making it look like a throw.
In terms of tog, I opted for the all year round option. My kids get quite warm in their bedrooms on an evening, and I wanted something that could keep them at a good temperature all year round.
It didn’t take me long to get both duvet’s onto each of the kid’s beds and they’ve slept soundly ever since. It had also been super easy to make their beds, without grappling for spare material and unfilled sections – this has been a joy!
They also look fabulous too and I am really impressed with the quality and super softness.
Washing them is easy and each fit into the washing machine as they contain compressed fibres. This has definitely made my life so much easier when it comes to laundry and has made it a much more pleasant experience.
In terms of cosiness, both of my kids have made no complaints and are sleeping very well. Missy (who is 6) says it is cosy and I trust her judgement. The only thing I need to do now is get one for my youngest! Check out their website for more information on their coverless duvets and more of their fantastic products!
