Date night in with Supermeal

Plans for the weekend? Fancy a night of Netflix and Chill..literally!?  Don’t fancy the hustle bustle of a busy restaurant and bar?!  No, me neither.  That’s why last weekend, my husband and I turned to Supermeal to order a rare takeaway sharing a bottle of the super slimline wine.

Let me explain…

Supermeal is an online food delivery platform available via their website and as an app.  You an choose from a variety of restaurants and takeaways local to you, order your desired food of choice and select whether you want delivery or collection.  And voila!  It’s that simple!

We used the Supermeal app to order our takeaway from Dixy Chicken.  The process was simple, easy and efficient with no faults.  What I love about this app is that you can track you order, which gives you peace of mind especially if you are hanging around at home to collect or waiting for the door bell to ring.  You can even pre-order so that you don’t have to wait until the time you actually want your food to arrive – the first I’ve seen of this!

Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know its all been ordered.  Again, offering the time you stated to be delivered or collected.  This time, we chose to collect (my husband gets frustrated waiting at home for a delivery!)

Our order via Supermeal

Dixy chicken was about 3 miles from our home.  Our order had just been dished up and was awaiting for us in foil containers and foil bags – perfect to keep the food warm during the journey home.  As well as our food, we were supplied napkins and cutlery too.

We are big chicken fans over in this household – so it was a no brainer to order their famous peri peri chicken platter with sides of fries, coleslaw, beans and sweetcorn.  We even had room for pepperoni pizza too!  All was tasty and delicious and we were really pleased with not only the service from Supermeal, but the takeaway too.

I think as parents, we all lead such busy lifestyles and I for one don’t always have the time to cook.  So sometimes, we have to be kind to ourselves and turn to a takeaway.  Next time you make that turn, consider Supermeal  – you won’t be disappointed!

*This is a collaborative post and Supermeal paid for my order in exchange for this blog post.  All words and opinions are my own*

We ordered takeaway last night – it’s not like me to do that midweek but between pregnancy and work being tough this week I just figured a happy mum would be much better for everyone! This looks like a great app 🙂

  2. I’ve never heard of this service but sounds good and you can’t say no to a free takeaway!!

Ooo what a fab service. We don’t get takeaways very often and usually order from a local Chinese but it’s nice to know this option is there!

  5. I’d never heard of this before but it sounds great, I wonder if they deliver in my area.

  8. I’ve not heard of this app before. I do use an app to order takeaways and it’s really convenient. I like the sound of pre-ordering though #fortheloveofblog
