Desk essentials for kids

We’ve recently been changing Miss W’s bedroom to become that little bit ‘older’.  She is now out of her cot bed, and as fully requested on her Christmas list, she will be having a desk delivered to her on Christmas morning.  I didn’t just want to get her a desk without all the bits and pieces.  So I’ve decided to give you a little insight into what else we have to compliment her desk and created a desk essentials for kids post.

Firstly, the desk itself it from Argos and cost £64.99.  They also offer in it pine for £10 less.  I love how it has a highback chair and the desk lifts up so Miss W can keep some essential items in.  I am very impressed with the quality too (Plus it didn’t take to long for the Elves to build!)

A desk isn’t compete without some essentials.  So it was obvious I needed to get her a desk tidy.  But for love nor money, I couldn’t find what I was after.  They were either too grown up, too big or just not child friendly enough.  In the end, I visited my local Tiger and found this simple pot which she can keep her pens and pencils in.  I love it and it comes in two sizes.  This is the medium size and was only £3.

Following on from the desk tidy/pen pot, it only felt right to include some creative products.  These wonderful Little Brian paint pens are just fab and are almost like a chunky crayon/felt.  Miss W loves to paint and draw so this will be a wonderful combination for her to get creative on her new desk.

Little Brian Paint sticks come in a variety of packs that can be found on Amazon, so perfect if you wish to grab that last minute Christmas present.  These mini paint sticks come in a pack of 24 and will be perfect for her little hands.  She will also love the glow sticks too, as anything that is super bright is down with her!  She really is so creative, I cannot see wait to see what she creates with these.

These paint sticks really are a fab way to get the kids creative without making all that mess.  And with a new desk, I really do not want spilt paint all over it!  Its fun, clean and gives me piece of mind too knowing that she can get crafty without all the mess.  They are really similar to use as a glue stick, so she really will not need any assistance in using them which is helpful.  And the paints look really vibrant and bright!  I am sure she will approve!

Next up, I took a little trip to Poundland to get some desk essentials for kids.  Of course, I brought items that were suitable for a little girl, but there was also many items for a boy too.  Everything looks fantastic quality and to be honest, even if it only lasts a short while, I only paid £1 each.

I got:

Pack of 30 pencils £1

Fluffy photo holder £1

Pack of 6 erasers £1

Pack of 6 paper clips £1

Fluffy pen £1

Pack of 30 pencils fare included in my desk essentials for kids

I love the fluffy photo holder – it will make her desk feel really personal.

I am so happy with my desk essentials for kids haul for Miss W and her new desk, I cannot wait to see what she gets up to with her ever growing creative mind!
