Disneyland Paris Cheyenne Hotel Review

Hotel Cheyenne is a value Disneyland Paris hotel and one in which we stayed in during our second visit to Disneyland Paris.  We have also stayed at Newport Bay HotelSante Fe Hotel, Sequoia Lodge, and Davy Crocketts Ranch.  All these hotels mentioned are onsite Disneyland Paris hotels.  This means that they are situated on Disney property and are all walking distance to the parks.  They are also a short walk to Disney Village.

Hotel Cheyenne is a western themed hotel and the hotel bedrooms are based on Woody and Bullseye from Toy Story.  Recently renovated in the last couple of years, this hotel looks fresh and is fully immersive.  If your after a ‘Disney hotel’ then this is it!

Hotel Cheyenne is a ‘2 key’ hotel and is better known as one of Disneyland Paris’s budget hotel.  Sante Fe is also known as a budget.  Some people may question if this is the hotel for them knowing it is a budget hotel.  Is the quality of the hotel going to be good enjoy?  Is it close to the parks?  With it feel ‘Disney’ enough?  Fear not, as this hotel is fantastic, budget or not!

Interior of Hotel Cheyenne at Disneyland Paris

As soon as you enter the reception area of Hotel Cheyenne, you are greeted with a wild west theme.  Think dark woods, western themed decor and an old time wild west vibe.  I really loved the extra detail that was immediately included as you were warmly welcomed, such as the saloon style doors and little nods to Bullseye from Toy Story.

The reception ares is towards one end of the hall in which you enter, with a small TV area for the children to stay whilst you check in.  There is also the onsite shop and entrance to the bar area towards the other end.  There is also plenty of seating if any of your party wants to sit down at relax.  They really do try and speed up the process of check in by allowing you to fill in any forms whilst your queuing to check in.  Check in times can be rather busy during peak times of the day!

Rooms at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne

All rooms at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne are now fully refurbished and themed on Disney’s Toy Story.  The main focus of these rooms are on Sherif Woody and Bullseye.  Each room offers  double or twin beds with a sofa bed which can be pulled out to a double if you wish.

As you can see, the theming is mainly based on Sherif Woody and his partner Bullseye.  The wallpaper has a wood-like effect with a Toy Story border.  The overhead lights are also themed, showcasing Woody himself.  I really loved the cow print on the bed’s headboard and runner!

Offering a large desk and cabinet with enough drawer space, the main feature of this was Woody’s boot lamp shade!  What fantastic theming!

There was also a large mirror themed on a horse shoe and can you spot Woody’s checked curtains?!  The bathroom was of a good size, with a large rectangular mirror, overhead lights and a bath and shower.  There was plenty of shelf space for all 5 of us.

The bedrooms at The Hotel Cheyenne at Disneyland Paris are of a really good size.  We also had a cot in the room for Baby K which we placed at the end of our bed.  As we spent most of our time at Disneyland Paris within the parks and Disney Village, it really wasn’t too much of a problem.  The hotel room was merely just a base for us to lay our heads on an evening.  The beds provided us with much comfort and we were all really happy with our stay here.

Included in the hotel rooms is

– Flat screen TV with the Disney information channel

– Safe

– Air conditioning/heating and fan

– Small bottles of toiletries

– Hairdryer

Please note that there is no tea or coffee facilities in the hotel rooms at Hotel Cheyenne.  There is also no mini fridge.

What else it at Hotel Cheyenne

The exterior of Hotel Cheyenne is just as much themed on the wild west just as much as the hotel rooms.  There is less of a nod towards Woody and Bullseye, but really is a complete immersive experience into what can only be described as a wild west town.  The hotel is largely spread out with rooms across several buildings.

The entrance is also pretty impressive with a horse drawn carriage outside the hotel reception.

As well as the Hotel’s reception building, there is also a Starbucks Coffee shop (perfect for those in need of a coffee hit!) a saloon bar offering cocktails beers and pizza slices and a Disney store.

Chuck Wagon Cafe at Hotel Cheyenne

There is also the Hotel Cheyenne’s onsite Disney restaurant where you can dine for breakfast and dinner.   During our stay, our offer entitled us to receive breakfast within the parks and Disney Village.  So I cannot comment on breakfast at Chuck Wagon Cafe.  But we did eat dinner here on our first evening.  Food was of the BBQ kind which goes down well in our family.  And the restaurant is also buffet style.  Salad, soup, ribs, corn, roasted chicken legs and jacket potatoes were on offer including much more.  The food was tasty and after an afternoon in the parks, we were all very hungry!

Top Tips

– Check in is from 3pm.  We checked in around midday and our room wasn’t ready.  But if it is, they’ll let you in your room early.  There is a luggage storage room available.

– There is plenty of parking onsite at The Hotel Cheyenne.  So if you are driving then rest assured that your car with be safe in the secure carpark – and there is no car parking fees!

– If travelling in a large family like us, instead of all queuing just dedicate one person.  Check in can be a little long so entertain the kiddos by watching the Disney TV or exploring the shop

– Rooms are across two floors.  If you have a buggy, request a ground floor room.  I am aware that there are NO LIFTs in this hotel

– There is no pool at Hotel Cheyenne

– Pre-book your restaurant.  In fact, prebook all your table service restaurants for your stay.  You can do this up to 60 days in advance.

– As a Disney hotel guest, make use of Extra Magic Hours.  This means you can access the parks 1 hour earlier than other guests who are not Disney hotel guests.  A select few rides will be open as well as the odd meet and greet with hardly any queues

– Head over to the hotel reception in the morning – you may find a meet and greet with a character there!

Would we stay at The Hotel Cheyenne again?

100% yes!  This hotel is awesome and despite claiming it is a budget hotel, it really exceeded all of our expectations.  I loved the theming and the addition of an onsite Starbucks was appealing!  The hotel is a short walk away from the Disney Village and parks, and on a beautiful sunny day, it’s an enjoyable walk through the trees passing the river.

The main attraction for staying onsite at Disneyland Paris is the fact you can walk (or catch the Disney shuttle) and take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.  It is also wonderful to be fully immersed in the Disney bubble!

Have you stayed onsite at Disneyland Paris before?

Thanks for reading xxx
