Hartbeeps – a Baby Class Like No Other

For those that haven’t heard of Hartbeeps, they offer baby and toddler classes that specialise in being a little bit different to those standard music classes you come across.  Hartbeeps really does push the boundaries and is a class full of magical surprises, adventures and stimulation!  So when I got asked to go along to review a class for my blog, I was really thrilled to trial it out.  Over the years I’ve been to many baby classes, including Tots play, Gymboree and Baby sensory, so I was excited to try a class I’d never been to before.

A little bit about Hartbeeps

Hartbeeps are the most original musical baby, toddler and preschool classes on the planet!  Quite literally!   They specialise in three different levels that is suitable for you and your child:

  1. Baby bells – newborn to six month (sitting)
  2. Baby Beeps – sitting to toddling
  3. Happy House – Toddler and infants walking with their siblings

All the classes are full of interactivity involving sign, singing and music, dress ups’, puppets and much more!  Before I went along to the class I popped on over to their website to read a bit more about the classes they have to offer and the story behind Hartbeeps.  I was surprised to see that not only do they offer the three classes above, but they also offer stay and play sessions and Baby Raves – birthday parties and discos for our little humans!

The founder of Hartbeeps is a lady called Sarah Godwin.  As explained on Hartbeeps webpage, Sarah felt that something was missing from baby and toddler classes when she attended with her children.  She felt that nothing had really changed much over the years from when she was a child.  She saw a real big gap in the market to provide more stimulating and engaging baby and toddler classes.  Sarah wanted Hartbeep classes to be full of magical interaction and creativity.

Our time at a Hartbeeps class

From the moment I walked in with Baby K in my arms, I knew we were going to have lots of fun and this wasn’t just any ordinary music class.  Individual mats were laid out on the floor in a circle, with a flower prop awaiting on each.  In the middle was a glittery gold blanket.

Out the corner of my eye I see Hartbeeps table all laid out with props, puppets and goodies!  I was excited as I generally love experiencing new baby classes!  I think there’s something special about experiencing new things together with your child and it can be such a great bonding session.

The class started off with some singing which seemed to be the welcome song which is sung at the beginning of each class. Then Nic, the class leader got two puppets out and we sang with them whilst she came over to each child to say Hello!  Our adventure then began and we went on a car journey!  Each child got given a plastic plate to drive with and a drivers hat!  Unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo of Baby K as he just wasn’t best pleased with the hat on his head!  All the children looked so cute!  We did manage a photo with a flat cap on whilst we went on a tractor ride!

We had a surprise box full of sensory props, bubbles, dancing and a feather disco.  Towards the end of the class we all got given blankets, glowing stars and fairly lights.  This was to allow us to relax and have some winding down time.  This was great and the children all calmed down after all the excitement before the class finished.

Finally…

We truly did have a magical time! If anyone is looking to experience a fantastic and engaging baby or toddler class, then have a look the their website and see what is on local to you!
