Lighthouse Clothing Review

Spring is here and I am so ready for it!  Leaving behind cold wind, snow and lots of rain (please no more!) I was on the hunt for a spring waterproof coat for the months ahead (let’s face it, rain will always be present in the UK!)  When Lighthouse Clothing got in touch to ask if I wanted to review one of their jackets or coats, I was super keen.  What the last 12 months has taught me, is that simple local walks with my family makes me happy and I need the gear for it!  We are also National Trust members, and we have yet to really explore some of the parks so that is high on our agenda once lockdown is lifted.

Who are Lighthouse Clothing

Lighthouse Clothing are an online clothing store for both men and women.  They are based in Ireland and they offer beautifully crafted and traditional outdoor clothing which are completely versatile for any place and any type of weather.

Lighthouse Clothing – Outrider Waterproof Women’s Raincoat

Lighthouse clothing have a whole host of items to choose from ranging from raincoats, bags, cosy hoodies to shirts and blouses.  Lighthouse raincoats come in various styles and colours but I was immediately drawn to their Outrider waterproof raincoat in grey.  Whilst I do love a splash of colour, I really loved the simplicity of this colour that will no doubt be a staple item for my wardrobe (and match with leggings, jeans or joggers!)

Whilst this coat is practical – it’s waterproof AND windproof (oh a HATE the wind!) it’s also iconically stylish.  The coats is 3/4 length which is perfect for my height and I love the protective frills shoulder caps almost bringing a ‘pretty’ element and design to the coat.

The raincoat offers a mix of fabrics and feels expensive without the price tag.  The inside of the coat is corduroy and with a check design inside the hood and arms, adding a sophisticated look.  The back is also adjustable with a vent as well as two way front zips.  Along the front are popper buttons, adding extra coverage and warmth.

I love how this coat is a real mix of style and tradition and it feels super comfy to wear including deep pockets (who doesn’t love a pocket or two!)  Perfect for carrying my purse, phone and anti bac!

Overall I am super impressed with my raincoat and really enjoyed perusing their stylish outerwear on their website.  The coat I chose is priced at £69.95 so a fair price if you generally after a coat that is going to keep you dry and warm on your outings.  With the weather looking to be brighter over the coming months, I am looking forward to wearing this, come rain or shine!
