We recently had a family photo shoot with a local photographer, who gave us some wonderful family photos. It can be hard to capture photo’s of the five of us, so when we do, I make sure that I get those particular photos printed or framed. Not long after our shoot, Love Wood Prints got in touch to see if I wanted to review an item. This couldn’t have come at a more accurate time! I had the perfect photo to use, and I wanted to display it a little bit differently. I can often turn to purchasing a canvas or have a photo put in a frame. But at Love Wood Prints, it is a little bit unique.
Love Wood Prints is a family owed business whom are passionate about printing on wood. They use your chosen photographs, artwork or memories and print them directly onto premium birch plywood wood panels. To do this, they use a low energy printing process to create these beautiful prints. Whether you chose to have your print in colour or in back and white, the high quality wood ensures that the print has vibrant colour as well as subtle tones, allowing the true beauty of the wood to shine through.
They wanted to offer people the chance to display their memories a little bit differently. I think that we can all easily turn to purchasing a frame for a photo or getting a print on canvas. But I love the idea of displaying a photo in a unique way, and that is what Love Wood Prints is all about.
Love Wood Prints were really happy to discuss what items they had to offer and what worked well with my chosen photograph. We finally decided on the Black Edition which comes in size A4. Delivery took a matter of days which I was really impressed with.
And once received, I wasn’t disappointed. Not only do I adore the photo, but I just love the concept of printing onto wood. The feel of the print is really rustic yet elegant and definitive. The quality is fantastic – I can see that by printing it onto wood allows the natural wood tones to blend perfectly with my image. The print has a lovely finish to it, leaving it smooth yet still showing the grains of wood.
What I love about Love Wood Prints is that it is no way harmful to the environment. We now have to consider so much around us and what we as humans are causing to the planet. However, the print panels used are carefully selected from sustainable farmed wood stocks so there is no deforestation or any other adverse impact to our environment. Which is great to hear!
It’s also really easy to stand. With a simple piece of wood that slots into the back of the panel, it stands perfectly. There is also the opportunity to hand on to the wall if you wish. Don’t you just love simplicity!
Now I am faced with the biggest challenge yet…where do I have my Love Wood Prints standing? I’ve placed it near our dining table on the small nest of tables as you can see in the above images. But I also like it on top of the fireplace or in the kitchen. Let me know in the comments below where you think this print should go!
*This is a collaborate post. I was gifted a black edition print from Love Wood Prints in exchange for an honest review. All words and opinions are my own*

Just come across your article and I’m wondering how well the prints stand up over time? Do they last as well as normal prints?
