Mama’s Style – Wingz can make such a difference

A few weeks ago I received a lovely package from Wingz to review.  I love trying new products (especially when they are for me – sorry kids!) No I’m joking, but its lovely to try something new for me, especially a fashion accessory or item as I do enjoy posting on instagram about my outfits.

The thing with Wingz is – they are a bit different.

Wingz are not a bra or lingerie, but they aren’t a top or outerwear either. When faced with your first ever pair of Wingz, it can seem a little bit confusing – how exactly do you put them on?

Wingz is a website that provide sleeves to add to any sleeveless top or dress to completely transform your look.   At first, I wasn’t sure how this was going to work fit wise as well as comfort wise but I was pleasantly surprised!

How does Wingz actually work?

Wingz is a set of sleeves that fit underneath your chosen garment (top or dress).  You put them on as you would put a top on however they do not have a visible neckline.  The material will sit underneath your bra discreetly so as to not disrupt the top or dress you will wear over it.  To everyone else, the sleeves will then look part of your top or dress – Voila!  It’s that simple!

The set of Wingz I chose were 3/4 black stretch lace fitted wingz in black, priced at £15.99.  However the website offers an array of different colours, styles and lengths to suit any person.

My verdict

I was really pleased with the material and fit of the Wingz and really liked how it transformed my simple black cami top to a whole different look.  I even teamed it up with a fluffy gillet which really complemented the sleeves.  The material was soft to touch and when worn out, no one noticed it was a separate garment to the top I was wearing – result!

Not only is Wingz a perfect solution for mixing up your wardrobe a bit without having to buy more tops and dresses, but it’s also perfect for that body conscious person too.  When seeking feedback from friends and family about Wingz, some said that they are conscious of their arms and this would be perfect for them to give that extra bit of ‘cover up’.  One friend suffers with eczema and so she said this would be ideal for her as she can still wear the dresses she still owns wearing the sleeves, without having to purchase new outfits.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic concept that would suit all shapes and sizes as well as age range.  They are provided  in 4 sizes covering from size 6 – 28. The website is really easy to navigate around and even provide a video to help with fitting. Prices range from £9 – £45.

Please, go and check out their website for more designs!

*This is a collaborative post and I was sent a set of Wingz to review in exchange for this review.  However, all words and opinions are my own*

Love Boohoo, check out my wedding guest dress!!!

  7. I’ve never heard of these before, what a great idea. I’m conscious of my arms and often don’t buy tops because of it. This would solve that problem. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
