Mothers Day crafts – Mrs Mactivity Subscription

I love sourcing the internet for activities to print off for the kids at home, especially for my three year old W who started preschool in September last year so is really keen to learn, even at home!  Mrs Mactivity is a new website launched to offer an array of activity sheets, worksheets and a great selection of useful and beautiful learning resources for parents to use at home, as well as childminders and nurseries too for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

I try my best to complete themed activities at home.  Once a celebration is approaching, such as Christmas or Easter, I like to get the kids involved in sticker books, crafts or colouring as well as decorating the house to make it feel really themed!  As Mothers Day is nearly upon us (Hurrah!), I thought it would be great to do some Mothers Day activities at home with W.  She’s really into her coloured pens at the moment, so I thought it would be really fitting to do a Mother’s Day craft activity, involving her new pens!

The children are now colouring in their print outs from mrs Mactivity using lots of coloured felt tips

B really took his time colouring in all the flowers

Mrs Mactivity offers several celebratory crafts under their category section and it was easy to locate the Mothers Day colouring and craft sheets.  We chose this lovely print out of a Mother’s Day bouquet which we would colour, decorate and cut and fold to make the perfect bouquet!  I actually persuaded 7 year old B to get involved and I have to say I think he enjoyed it more!  He really took his time as I know he is super work proud and wanted it just right.  I even ended up colouring one in myself!

They both enjoyed this while off on a snow day from school!

The both had a lot of fun using all the pens to colour in the flowers and when W knew cutting was involved she was happy!  She was really pleased to have something she could give me too which I think children love as they feel special.  B being a little older wanted to keep it for himself!
