I have been wearing jewellery since I was a little girl. Even when I was about 5 years old I had a very special ring I wore, and even wore my christening bangles until my wrists became too big.
I am always looking for unique pieces of jewellery to include when it comes to styling up an outfit. Whether that be one statement piece, or a collection of unique but subtle pieces.
You don’t necessary need to break the bank to get that perfect look your after. And whether your piece is from a high street store, or an antique store such as Carus Jewellery, there is a huge variety of styles on offer.
With that in mind, I’d love to share with you my favourite jewellery pieces and how to style them up!
A statement necklace can transform the look of an outfit and completely finalise the look. I have several in my jewellery box including a chunky beaded Chanel piece. I think you can get away without wearing any other pieces of jewellery, depending on the length and the size of the piece itself. It’s simplicity doesn’t detect away from being a stand out piece and the contract of colour gives it that wow factor. Below i’ve styled up with a chunky knit jumper.
I have my ears pieced 10 times and I love to wear some simplistic earrings in my ears for every day wear. I wear 4 or 6 silver hoops varying in size most days. If I am going anywhere special, I will normally chose a pair of earrings to complement my outfit. I love these black Shamballa earrings that I have owned (and managed to not loose) for a very long time. They look great for bringing a bit of subtle sparkle to an outfit without being too OTT. I would wear these with a simple classy black dress or jeans and a sparkly top.
I own two watches but my all time favourite is this Accurist watch my husband brought for me for our honeymoon. I mostly where silver and my wedding rings are platinum, so this is my ‘go to’ watch for an every day look. I love the fact the wrist strap is mental (as I find any fabric or leather straps show wear and tear very quickly) and the diamonds around the watch face give the watch that classy yet glitzy look.
If you ever feel like giving your watch a face-lift, consider swapping the straps. Instead of buying a brand-new timepiece to match with your wardrobe, it’s more economical to upgrade your existing one with brand-new watch straps. It’s easy to do, and there are plenty of options for you to choose from.
Of course, I couldn’t include a mention to my rings on my wedding finger. I have four rings in total: my engagement ring, wedding band, and two eternity rings for Mr B and Missy. Which reminds me, wheres my third! Of course they have a huge meaning to me and I love the way they are stacked up together, showcasing the smaller diamonds on the bands which complement my engagement diamond.
I also couldn’t not mention my Pandora stacker Mickey/Minnie ring – I got brought this for my 33rd birthday and it’s always on my middle finger. Always a reference to Disney on me somewhere!
Literally my favourite pieces range in price and can be for special occasions or for every day wear. Whatever you choose to wear, let it be your choice no matter how extravagant or low key!
