New Kangaroo Beach Series on Nick Jr

With all the kids at home now the Summer holidays are upon us, we of course watch TV to have some down time.  The launch of the new series around surf safety called Kangaroo Beach began on Nick Jr this week, with the first episode going live on Monday 26th July 2021.

The kids love getting stuck into a TV series so when I told then all about Kangaroo Beach, this immediately appealed to Mr K who wanted to sit down and watch it in peace without his siblings!  I was also pleased as this series isn’t just about animated characters going on an adventure (which is what a lot of kids shows are about).  Its also educational, with a huge focus on surf safety whilst at the beach!  In my eyes, any kids show that is educational, is win win!  We have been super lucky to have access to some of the very first episodes last week, and wanted to share with you our thoughts!

What is Kangaroo Beach about?

As I mentioned, Kangaroo Beach is a kids animated show all about safety at the Beach featuring fun and exciting characters taking on lots of gripping adventures.  The show was created by the maker of PJ Masks, Go Jetters and Bob the Builder as well as many more!  The show is aimed at pre school aged children but I can imagine it would also appeal to children up to the age of 7.

The animated series features four friends; Gemma, Neville, Pounce and Frizzy.  All four characters are very likable and spend all their time at Kangaroo Beach where they learn and share all about safety at the beach.  Their adventures feature them training to be life guards, tackling new skills and taking on lots of water sports!

There are 26 episodes of Kangaroo beach lasting approx. 15 minutes per episode.

Our Verdict of Kangaroo Beach

Of the couple of episodes we have seen, we loved it!  It really appealed to my four year old who straight away was asking questions about the characters.  The theme tune is catchy and fun and it was lovely to see some new animated faces on our screen!

What I mostly love, is of course the message that it sends out to pre school children and that whilst the kids may be watching to see all the adventurous stuff they get up to, us parents can feel reassured that there is an educational element to the show.  I think there are many moments where parents may relate to situations they may have been in with their own children whilst watching the show and so it is great to know that your child can learn from watching Kangaroo Beach!

The show is bright, bold and lots of fun to watch.  I can imagine that this is going to be a huge hit for lots of children over the summer holidays!  Have you managed to catch any episodes of Kangaroo Beach yet?  It’s now showing on Nick Jr. every day at 9.30am so be sure to check it out!  You can also check out Kangaroo beach YouTube channel.
