The Great Oreo Cookie Quest – Making footprints in the snow

This post is an entry for Britmums #oreocookiequest sponsored by Oreo.

Oreo is celebrating The Great Oreo Cookie Quest promotion on packs now, which means anyone can pick up a pack and be in with a chance to win awesome prizes, including a once in a lifetime trip to California – can I get a HELL YEAH!

I am taking part with my very own cookie quest to support The Great Oreo Cookie Quest and what better way than to use our snow days (I mean who hasn’t had any?!)  to have fun and throw in a bit of Oreo cookie eating into the mix!  Of course!  This challenge is all about family time and spending it together, having fun and capturing them moments.

Anyone fancy an Oreo?!

My 7 year old son B loves the snow and is out the back door as soon as a snowflake falls…literally!  Sometimes the kids are the most happiest when it comes to simplicity.  Take away the technical stuff, the effort, the distractions.

B is super happy to be in the snow and having some Oreo cookies

My son was the most happiest when being out in the fresh air, burning some energy and taking some time out from his siblings!!!  Even better, the taste of an Oreo in the snow was a fun experience – who wouldn’t love being out in the white stuff and stuffing your face with a chocolate Oreo cookie?!

B is pulling a funny face with Oreo biscuit over his teeth

Silly face with chocolate covered teeth?!

Having fun in the snow with Oreo

Family time is so important, whether it be a family day out, snuggling down to watch a film at home or simply watching your children play.  Taking away the many distractions children have nowadays, its refreshing to see that children can be happy with the simple things in life, like just having a run and a play in the garden in the snow.

B has built a snow man called Oreo Cookie for the Oreo Cookie Quest challenge

Its times like these we need to sit back and appreciate these moments of happiness presented by the likes of a snow day and no school – hurrah for the kids!  Don’t get me wrong, B loves is Xbox and Wii U, but I much prefer capturing these moments of happiness and see the delight on his face from the simple things in life – making footprints in the snow.

Thanks for reading!

  1. This is lovely and snow does bring out the best in kids. I think because it’s such a rarity it means they actually go out and play!

Mmmm i love Oreos and as you say what better way to eat them than in the snow. As soon as my daughter seen the slow she wanted to go and build a snowman but up in Liverpool we didn’t have enough snow unlike you to make one #FamilyFunLinky

  3. What a glorious day with your boy, and I love the oreo touches on the snow man! Hope you win!

  4. Jenni - Odd Socks and Lollipops says:

Oh the snow was so much fun wasn’t it – though sadly it’s already gone here and things are back to normal. I love that you can win great prizes with oreos – not that I need an incentive to eat them as they are so yummy! And what a fab snowman.

  5. Laura Dove says:

Ahh snow and Oreos? Two of my favourite things! It looks like you had a lot of fun together!

We’re supposed to get a couple of inches this week. I wonder if Oreo in the US is sponsoring a “win a trip to Europe” sweepstakes?! We just might have to prepare for the storm by picking up a few packages of Oreo cookies.

  7. I think snow brings out the kid in all of us doesn’t it? It was a wee bit cold to enjoy it too much this time but the boys were fascinated by how much there was. I love the oreo snowman!!

  8. Loving the oreo creativity! I have to admit though, I’m so glad the snow is gone.

Ahh this is lovely and it’s so good to see kids out and playing in the snow. We don’t get it that often so we have to enjoy it x

  10. Ooo I’d never thought about using Oreo cookies as snowman buttons! That really is such a fantastic idea x

How lovely! We didn’t get to enjoy fun time in the snow last week as our little one had chicken pox. I’m probably one of the few parents wishing it to snow again so I can see his little face having fun in it #fortheloveof blog

  12. My gang have spent so many hours outside during those snow days! My oldest, 11.5 yo, was out the most. He LOVES snow!
