With this year still holding restrictions and uncertainty around travel, we’ve decided to focus on family days out with a few staycations thrown into the mix. Travel is limited for us this year due to work commitments but overnight stays are on the agenda and we have a few things booked up and ideas in the pipeline, which we’d love to share with you! And let’s face it, whilst overseas travel is amazing, UK staycations are also fantastic too – there is so much to see in the UK!
We are so excited to be visiting Legoland Windsor after 7 years! We last visited in 2014 and loved it! But, it was extremely busy and we had to wait a long time in many queues. It has put us off in recent years, especially with a toddler. However, now our youngest is 4 and LOVES Lego, we’ve bitten the bullet and decided to return! Keep you eyes peeled for what we get up to!
My sister is turning 40 this summer, and we have a 2 night stay away in the beautiful town of Oxford. We are staying in the Marriott Oxford Courtyard hotel and are looking forward to some girly time, with several restaurants booked for the evenings. The hotel looks perfect for a weekend getaway and I can’t wait to showcase it over on my blog.
My husband booked a weekend away to London for my birthday including The Lion King Tickets! I am super excited to be back in London after 3 years and as it’s a couple weekend away, we’ll be taking in the sights and booking some fun attractions too! I have my eye on the Peter Pan Afternoon Tea at The Shard!
A holiday that was postponed from last year to celebrate my Dad’s 70th, we decided to rebook at a Haven holiday camp. We’ve visited Burnham on Sea plenty of times and really love the park. It’s perfect for all ages with something to do for all the kids! I’m looking forward to being by the sea and having a typical British summer vacay, complete with arcades and fish and chips!
We’re also hoping for a 1 night stay again but with the children in tow this time. We last visited London in 2018 when we visited Shrek’s Adventure and London Zoo and know there is so much more to see. We have this on our radar and hope to book this as soon if we can!
Whilst this isn’t technically a staycation, we really hope to visit Disneyland Paris in October. We are very uncertain and hesitant about booking as we really do not want to have to cancel and due to the pandemic, holidays oversees still remains uncertain. So, with that in mind, it’s something we are thinking about and hoping we can do!
Where are you planning to visit in 2021?
