Romantic cities in Europe – My Top Three

AD GIFTED |

There are so many places I would love to visit in the world – too many to list!  But if I had to pick my top three romantic cities in Europe I would have to choose Venice, Rome and Paris.  I haven’t been to any of these mind, however something about these inviting cities stands out, and I cannot wait to visit them one day (whether that would be sans romantic with kids in tow or not!)

Eshores are currently offering their top tips on how to create the ultimate romantic trip away, and as Valentines is only a day away, I thought what better way than to cook up a storm (well Matt did!) and share our romantic cities bucket list with you.  Thankfully, Matt is an amazing cook, and it doesn’t take much for him to rustle up some concoction of deliciousness.

We were very kindly gifted a hamper of goodies to encourage us to cook and talk about the places we were love to visit in Europe and beyond.  So whilst Matt cooked away, we fantasised about weekends away just the two of us in these beautiful cities!

So without further ado, let’s talk about these ‘must visit’ romantic cities in Europe and why we want to visit them

Our Top Three Romantic Cities in Europe

Venice

Now this is a city that I personally, have wanted to visit for a long time.  I have even considered taking the kids!  And whilst it oozes romance and has that perfect break away stamped all over it, I am sure it really isn’t the place to drag three kids around.  But, one day we will visit and we will take a Gondola ride down the canals and visit the central square, Piazza San Marco.  Venice is built on more that 100 tiny islands, so it really is a unique place to visit and is unlike any city in the world in my opinion!

Paris

Whilst we’ve visited Disneyland Paris several times, Paris is not a city we’ve yet to have the pleasure of visiting.  It really is so easy to travel to France now, what with the Euro Tunnel and Euro Star, that it makes a short break to this beautiful city very doable.  I would love to visit the Eiffel Tower and see it lit up in all its glory.  I perhaps see this romantic city being achieved on our bucket list far sooner than the other two, just for its location and being so easily accessible.  And with it being so close to Disney…need I say more!

What a view!

Rome

Our final romantic city in Europe we would love to visit is Rome.  Rome is one of the most traveled cities in Europe, and is full of history and culture, fine wine and pizza!  And that’s not even mentioning the gelato!  But seriously, taking a tour of the Colosseum and exploring the Vatican museum is on the top of our list when we eventually visit one day!

And there you have it.  Our top three romantic cities in Europe we would love to visit one day.  Maybe we could do it with kids in tow and turn our city break into a family adventure!

About

Hi and welcome to The Willow Tree. I’m Michelle, also known as Shel and I am a mama to three beautiful crazy kids – I have two handsome boys and a wild and wonderful girl.

I really wanted a concrete place to share my love for travel, in particular Disney and offer my readers a chance to gain some knowledge around what we love to do as a family of 5.

I share our family adventures which include days out, travel advice and tips, holiday reviews, restaurant visits and of course, our love for Disney, including Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World.

Life is about creating memories, and here we are sharing them with you

xoxo
