Spring time at Hatton Adventure World *Review*

During the Easter Holidays, we were kindly invited to Hatton Adventure World.  Located in Hatton, Warwickshire, this friendly farm and adventure playground has been a huge hit of mine ever since I was a little girl.  I recall many a weekend visiting here with my parents and sisters, and now it is a pleasure to continue this tradition with my own children.

Hatton Adventure World is part of Hatton Country World where you will find Hatton Shopping Village, Hatton Swimming baths, Hatton Adventure World and Hatton Escape Rooms – opening July 2019!  It is free to enter, however there is an admission fee into the Adventure World, which varies dependent on the season.

Hatton Adventure World is made up of various children’s farm activities, small rides, adventure playgrounds and Mr B’s favourite – Laser Combat. Over the years, the farm has really evolved and there is so much on offer for parents and children to take part in.

Our day at Hatton Adventure World

We chose to visit on a sunny Wednesday morning during Easter 2019.  It was relatively quiet when we arrived, so we let the kids chose their first activity.  Upon arrival, you do get a guide of activities for the day, to ensure you do not miss a thing!

The kids made a beeline to the first adventure playground, which is home to a large sandpit, tractor, climbing frame and a large zip wire (both Mr B and Missy chickened out on this one!)  There is also pony rides by this play area for a fee of £3.  As we visited during their Spring Event, we also got access to their baby animals – someone should have warned me that baby goats are too cute!

From here, we took the bumpy tractor ride across the farm where we learnt some great facts about how the farm works.  We also got to see lambs that were 30 minutes old!

Our day then involved a fun adventure of ice creams, digging for gold, bouncy castle fun and even a magic show in the Hatton Adventure World theatre.  The kids got to ride the swirling slide numerous times, tackle the assault course and even betted on Lambogini the Sheep in the daily Sheep race!

What I think is fantastic about Hatton Adventure World is the Laser Combat Experience.  This is included in your admission and includes a 45 minute battle between two teams.  Grab you key (which gives you access to the experience – one key per person) located at the entrance just after admissions.  Chose a time that suits you and return at that time, with your key.  Mr B loved this!

As it was Spring, all the kids got to take part in an Easter Egg hunt which they thoroughly enjoyed as they got to win some chocolate!  Although the Egg Hunt was pretty simple, it was still a lovely touch and a great addition to Hatton Adventure World especially for the Easter Holidays.

We got to get up close and personal with some of the sheep and goats and Miss W was even brave enough to feed them!  Unfortunately we missed the guinea pig encounter and were not brave enough to interact with the creepy crawlies – we were happy enough to view them from outside of their enclosures!

Baby K loved the JCB digger track, which is made out of old trainers!  We spent a good 45 minutes and really he was quite happy to spend even longer here!  Whilst he wasn’t quite ready to peddle himself, his older siblings came to the rescue and they all had fun together.

As it was a lovely day, we decided to bring a picnic with us.  However, if you wish to purchase any food during your visit, you can from the food and drink stand located next to the bouncy castle and ride area.  There is also Snorty’s Barnyard Restaurant within the indoor soft play area.  As it was such lovely weather, we really didn’t have chance to visit inside.  However, from past experience, it really is a great soft play with huge vertical slides – not for the faint hearted!

Our verdict

As always, we had a lot of fun at Hatton Adventure World and I would fully recommend it for a jam packed family day out in Warwickshire – especially in the sunshine!  There are various offers to take advantage off on the Hatton Website, and don’t forget to google any voucher or coupon codes to grab some summer deals!

We experienced pleasant and friendly staff during our visit to Hatton, and I felt safe here too.  During our visit, a believe some children got lost from their parents.  We heard this information over the tannoy which covers the whole farm so all guests can hear.  This is helpful to know that staff are on guard and know the procedure as to what to do if this happens.

The price for Hatton Adventure World can vary dependent on what time of the year you visit, and some prices can be as low as £8.95 per person and then rise to £16.95.  Of course, to make the most of the cost, you really do need to spend a full day here.  Check out their website for local opening times and prices.  And don’t forget to bring a picnic!

Thanks for reading xxx
