A few weeks ago, I was contacted by the team at intu Merry Hill to take part in their new SS19 fashion campaign – to say I was super excited was an understatement! intu Merry Hill was my go to shopping centre many moons ago, but admittedly it fell off my radar. BUT, I certainly have been missing out, as when we took a visit last week, I was so pleasantly surprised with many things. Firstly, space! This is such a spacious shopping centre and for me, this is so important as I have three kids, so it was really nice to be able to pursue the shops without any hustle bustle or crowds. The centre is really child friendly too, offering trolley’s converted into cars (which Baby K and W would just love!), baby changing facilities and even a small soft play. Parking is even free! They also hold seasonal events here too that would be appealing to families.
I love the approach of Spring and making way for those lighter outfits and summer trends for my wardrobe. By the time March comes around, I think we are all glad to put our boots and extra cosy knits away and welcome the newness and colour that spring brings. And thank’s to the array of stores that Intu Merry Hill has to offer, my wardrobe is seeing a little spring revamp!
What I noticed more than anything when searching the many stores at intu Merry Hill is that it seems blue is the colour of the season and stripes were very popular across many garments. My go to shops when I am not online shopping is New Look, H&M, River Island and Primark, which I was pleased to see, were all available at Intu Merry Hill. There was even a Disney store!
I was on the hunt for some dungarees, and it wasn’t long before I came across these black ones in H&M, which fit a treat. With a skinny leg, and adjustable straps, I love the look and even more so, teamed up with this white Thumper Tee from the Disney range at Primark (which happens to be the BEST Primark I have ever been to by the way!)
I threw the look together with these baby blue Air Max Trainers, which caught my eye in Footasylum. They were also available in a dusty pink too, but the blue was the one that stood out the most!

I also had to grab my hands on this Dumbo Hoody! With the new live action release of the film premiering this month, I couldn’t resist. It’s super soft and I just love the pastel colours.

Sticking with a blue theme following on from the trainers, I found this light weight knitted V neck jumper. Super Soft and not too thick, this is perfect for those sunny but chilly days that April and May can bring. And also goes perfectly with those trainers!
Stripes were everywhere when perusing the stores at intu Merry Hill. And this white and blue striped shirt caught my eye. I picked this one up at the huge H&M store located on the ground floor, and I was so pleased to find another ‘blue’ piece to add to my Spring/Summer collection. Normally, I am not a fan of shirts as I find they make me irritable, however the material is light weight and airy and is perfect to wear open with a cami or buttoned up.
I love wearing white in the summer, and this boxy embroidery top caught my eye. With a cute scalloped trim and puffed sleeves, this will be perfect for them warmer days we hope to see this summer. I teamed the top with a striped demin skirt from Primark which I just love, and is also super comfy!
You can’t beat a fresh white tee, and this unique print was seen across a lot of stores. I particularly loved the holographic print and the length of the t-shirt being a little longer. Super comfy for casual summer days with the kids, and a steal at £6 from Primark.
I absolutely love the next outfit, and with soft cotton shorts from Primark at £5 teamed with a logo t-shirt from Quiz, this outfit is super cute and fun – a girl in her 30’s can still have fun right?! Teamed with a £4 pair of Primark sunnies – what’s not to love?!
I also found these tailored soft cotton shorts too. I love the knotted belt detail of the shorts and again, we are seeing stripes! These were super comfy and will be perfect for those hotter days and holiday attire!
I couldn’t not have a shopping spree and not buy a little summer dress. There was a few different patterns of these dresses on offer at H&M, but I went for the black and white checked print. With a low V neck line and cute short sleeves, this was a steal at £14.99.
I couldn’t leave intu Merry Hill and not pick up some gym wear. Running is my activity for the new season, so I decided to pick up a couple of items to encourage me to exercise! Primark have a huge range on offer at the moment, and all so reasonably priced! Some of the items were really bright and patterned, but I went for a simple black pair of gym leggings, a baby pink sports bra and light weight top.
What do you think of my SS19 fashion haul with intu Merry Hill?! If you are local to the area, do head on over to the centre. There is so many stores and eateries on offer, and with the addition of facilities for children, it can make a great family day out!
