What’s the best trouser for you?

Within the fashion industry, you’ll find an array of different styles of trousers and bottoms, suiting all different shapes and sizes.  Switching up your trousers can completely change your look, from relaxed chic to glamorous guru, but what is the best trouser for you?

What comes first?  Comfort or Style?  For me, I love to feel comfortable and hate anything that is too tight, snug fitting or restricting.  Having said that, I am completely open to wearing different styles of trousers for different occasions.  For example, when relaxing at home, you’ll always find me in a pair of joggers (never a pair of jeans!)  But I also love a good pair of stretchy high waisted jeans for being out and about!

From joggers to jeans, smart wear to relaxed glamour, here is my round up of styling out different types of trousers!

The Jogger

Ah, this is my total ‘go to’ look at the moment, spending most of my time indoors.  With three children to run around after at home, I want and NEED to be comfortable.  So this is my current look, and I love the high waisted joggers that are ever so popular at the moment.  This pair are cream and go with most tops, either tucked in or cropped if you fancy showing a sneak peak of flesh!  The pair from Femme Luxe Finery are super soft and so comfortable, I could wear them all week!  Team with a pair of trainers, and you have a perfect look for your daily walk to grab some exercise!

The Cigarette Trouser

Rose/pink cargo cigarette trousers from Femme Luxe

There are loads of different types of cigarette trousers on the market, but I love these satin cargo pair in rose.  The cargo detail can make these trousers be either dressed down with chunky trainers or dressed up with a pair of simple heels.  They added belt hoop belt is also a nice finish if you wish to wear these with a top tucked in, or a crop top.  I wore these on my last date night out with the hubby a while ago, and they felt really comfortable to wear.  I teamed them up with a simple black top and a teddy jacket.

The Mom Jean

Ripped Mom Jeans from Femme Luxe Finery

Who doesn’t love a pair of Mom jeans?!  Coming back into fashion a few years ago, I wasn’t so keen.  Now, with the summer approaching, I find them a lot more easier to wear, with either a lightweight strappy top or a blazer.  Again, these jeans can be dressed up or down, depending on what shoes you wish to style with the jeans.  With this pair, I love the rips in the back of the jean, making them a little bit different to your typical ‘ripped at the knee’ look.  These are great to also wear at home, without feeling too restricting, and are lovely and loose around the thighs.  These are cropped too, so perfect for summer!

I think every woman’s wardrobe shouldn’t be complete without a pair of high waisted jeans.  They are a stable look that I believe will never go out of fashion.   This pair is super comfortable with soft denim and are stretchy too, which for me is so important.  They almost feel like a pair of leggings with a button up detail.

And there you have it!  My round up of my favourite trousers to feel stylish in yet still feel comfortable.  Honestly though, with most of my time sent at home at the moment, Joggers are my go to trouser at the moment!  What’s yours?

I’m terrible and just live in my comfy jeans most of the time. I have smart trousers for work but it’s a relief not to need them at the moment!

I honestly think it’s going to be very strange wearing anything other than leggings, PJs or joggers when we come out of lockdown!! haha I’m a big fan of jeans, but I’m starting to worry I wont be able to fit in mine after all this lockdown food!! ;))
