Why we keep returning to Disney

Some might not realise that no two trips to Disney are the same.  Whether you are visiting Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World or even further afield to the East, every trip is completely different.  Here, I explain why and why we as a family, keep returning to Disney time and time again.

Admittedly, we have only visited Walt Disney World once as a family in 2019.  Our plan was to visit again this year 2021, however we have decided to not visit America with the risk of Covid.  We have however visited Disneyland Paris every year since 2016 and we just cannot get enough of it.  What people do not realise is that every trip is different and the list is endless and to what contributes to this.

1.It makes us Smile

This is a big one.  It makes us more that smile.  It literally gives us all the feels of happiness, contentment, surreal enjoyment…the list goes on.  Imagine feeling completely elated and floating on air.  That is what it feels like for all of us when we visit Disney.  Our last visit to Disneyland Paris in 2022 was so different to our first trip in 2016, yet the immense feeling of excitement beyond belief firmly remains.

2.You can’t do it all in one Disney Trip

Despite visiting Disneyland Paris 6 times, we still haven’t done it all!  With 7  Disney hotels to choose from, different annual celebrations to attend, a huge choice of restaurants to eat at and so much more – you literally cannot do it all!  Each trip we tend to try something new, such as staying at a new hotel or even travelling to France a different way (we love the Eurostar).  With Walt Disney World, it is so much bigger and therefore I really do not think you’ll ever complete everything!

3. Experiences Change

We first visited a Disney resort together on our honeymoon way back in 2009 where we visited Disneyland California.  That trip was SO MUCH different compared to visiting with out children and certainly will change as they grow and get older.  We experience new things due to their age and as they mature, we are trying more rides, different shows and experiences and each trip brings a whole new host of new surprises!

4. All the food!

Yes we love Disney food!  Many think that Disney food literally consists of hot dogs, burgers and fries.  Your wrong!  Whilst there is plenty of grab and go fast food options, there is so much more!  Within Disneyland Paris there is a variety of buffet and table service restaurants for you to enjoy.  We adore Chez Remy, the French restaurant within Ratatouille land within Walt Disney Studios.  Disneyland Paris is also home to a Turkish buffet and several fine dining restaurants.  And as for Disney World, there is a huge amount of restaurants to eat at including Asian, French, British and Epcot can really offer you foods from around the whole world!

5. Seasonal Celebrations to enjoy

As I have mentioned, Disney love to celebrate!  When visiting any Disney resort, they’ll normally be a celebration on.  We tend to visit Disney during the Halloween season which is awesome.  They’ll be exclusive merch, amazing themed decorations that completely change the look of the parks and of course, extra celebrations!  We first visited Disneyland Paris in the Spring which was lovely as we got to see the Spring decorations and hunt for Easter Eggs.  Our last trip was during for New Years Eve 2022, so there was additional parades and shows – it was amazing!

6.Every hotel resort it different!

When visiting Disneyland Paris, we’ve been lucky enough to stay in Newport Bay Hotel, Santa Fe, Cheyenne and Seqouia Lodge.  In Disney World, we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside.  We already cannot wait to experience the other hotels (within reason of course as some of them are so expensive!)  However, its a real treat to experience something new each time we visit.  Each hotel resort normally has its own theming and unique feel and faculties to enjoy. No hotel is the same!
