Wolverhampton Adventure Golf Review- Dinosaur themed!

Wolverhampton Adventure golf is a Dinosaur themed crazy golf course that is perfect for families.  We decided to take a trip over to that side of Birmingham for a family day out as I have a dinosaur obsessed son!  He adores dinosaurs and after our trip to a dinosaur themed restaurant called Jurassic Grill, we went on the hunt to find other dinosaur themed places to visit!

Where is Wolverhampton Adventure Golf located?

As it says in the title of this dinosaur crazy golf park, its located in Wolverhampton at Perton Park Golf Club.  It is around 50 minutes from Solihull and around 25 minutes from the centre of Birmingham.  It isn’t really easily signposted and appears out of nowhere on a country lane, so keep your eyes peeled!  As it is located on Perton Park Golf Club, simply drive up the golf club drive and park in the main carpark.  The entrance to the adventure golf is located to the right and clearly signposted!

As soon as we arrived, I just knew that my kids (aged 3,6 and 10) were going to love this place!  Not only do we love playing crazy golf, but we do love anything themed as this place is highly themed on dinosaurs!  As you walk into the golf course, you’ll immediately notice a jurassic theme!  The golf course is ahead of you with dinosaur animatronics galore!  You’ll be greeted with several picnic tables and a reception where you can check in and pick your golf clubs. For those pro golfers who love a round of golf, these putters differ however I can recommend budget golf rangefinder under $200.    This hatch also doubles up as a quick service refreshment stand, offering hot and cold drinks, slushes and a small selection of hot food such as sausage rolls.

There was no queue when we arrived at our pre-booked time of 11.10am.  As you enter the golf course, there are huge dinosaur eggs which the kids can climb in and which they also thought was fantastic!  The course was relatively quiet and we didn’t have to wait at any of the 18 holes.

We climbed over bridges, passed waterfalls and many dinosaurs along our way to the 18th hole.  Each hole easily followed on from the next and it was really exciting to see the huge dinosaurs as we enjoyed playing as a family.  The dinosaur themed golf course was home to a huge T-Rex which the kids loved, especially as it roared every time you walked past it!

Some of the holes were easier than others but most we fun, challenging and the kids loved the different tunnels and bridges that were included.  They particularly loved walking through the skeleton dinosaur rib cage!

Things to consider at the dinosaur themed crazy golf:

– Children under 4 years of age are FREE.  My 3 year old son found it lots of fun!

– Golf clubs are cleaned between each use

– There are difference size golf clubs for different heights

– The course is pushchair friendly

– Parking is free

– Toilets are on site and antibacterial is available inside

– There are plenty of picnic benches outside so bring a picnic!

– There is also some indoor seating if you wish to sit down inside

– If your children are scared of dinosaurs, then this may not be the place for you!

Seating area at Wolverhampton Adventure Golf

The cost for a family of four is £28 which I think is fairly priced.  Individual adults are £8.50 over 14 years.  Children (under 14) are £6.50.   NHS Staff and Students are at a reduced price of £7.50.  Booking is made on their website.

We loved our visit to this dinosaur themed golf course and I would 100% be back again.  If your traveling some distance, why not team up your trip with a day out to Cosford RAF Museum which is only 15 minutes away!
